Google review link

A Google review link is a URL that opens a business's Google review form directly, with the star rating ready to tap. It is built from the business's Place ID in the form search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=YOUR_PLACE_ID, or copied from the "Ask for reviews" button on the Business Profile.

Sending customers to the profile instead of the form adds several taps, and every tap loses people. The direct link opens the form on both phones and desktops.

The same link should go to every customer. Sending unhappy customers somewhere else is review gating.

Wrapping the link in a tracked redirect lets you see who clicked without changing where they land.

Why it matters

It's the single easiest improvement to review conversion: fewer steps between the request and the stars.

Common questions

Where do I find my Google Place ID?

Google's Place ID Finder tool returns it for any business. The Business Profile's "Ask for reviews" share link contains it too.

Does the review link expire?

No. The Place ID stays the same unless the listing is removed and recreated.
